1000 Thanks for 100 Followers (and growing!)

It occurred to me today, as I did my little 100 follower dance, that we blog about the books, and we blog about the authors behind the books, but we often neglect the beloved third member of our literary ménage à trois . . . the readers of the blogs and of the books!

So, I would just like to take a moment so say THANKS and share a HUG with everyone out there who has ever stopped by, followed, or commented on my little blog. It really does mean a lot to know that you’re out there, and I truly love you all.

Back when I started this blog, I dragged a few friends along (Halle, Calie, and Natasha – you rock!) so I wouldn’t have to stare at an empty follower box. I really didn’t have much in the way of expectations, but I thought it would be cool to hit double digits some day.

I can still remember being wowed by the response to my first blog hop, especially when bloggers I’d fallen in love with (Danielle, Carissa, and Ragan – I’m smiling at you!) stopped by to offer me their words of support and encouragement.

It was around the 20 follower mark that I finally found my blogging voice, and not long after that before I started to become comfortable with the idea that what I was sharing wasn’t absolute drivel! J

The big 50 came and went so fast that I missed it, but 75 gave me a little shiver of excitement. Like I said, I never had much in the way of expectations, but suddenly it seemed like the impossible . . . 100 followers . . . might actually be within my reach.

At the end of the day, I know it’s just a number, but it’s a special one to me. It’s a symbol of the friendships I’ve made, the people I’ve met, and the great reads that we’ve shared. The last 6 months have been way more fun than I could have ever imagined, and I am absolutely looking forward to continuing our journey together.

So, once again, THANK YOU to everyone who has played a part in helping my little blog to thrive.

Oh, and a special thanks absolutely must go out to Rae, Denise, and Lee for taking part in my first hosted challenge – putting that idea out there was a bit scary, but it makes me so happy to see people taking part in it.

Have a great weekend, everybody. It’s supposed to be wicked cold, at least around here, so make sure to snuggle up with a good book . . . and let us know all about it on Monday!
